    Mini Budget this Summer

Its called for... If Martin or whoever else takes over of the purse strings a mini Budget should be called to curtail government spending and to get grips of the worsening financial difficulties... this aint no ordinary recession, everything is at stake if we cant get it right...

Before a budget, they need a plan. The wish list in the national Development Plan needs to be prioritised. It is a myth that capital spending is productive - railway building where there is no demand is good for the Spanish train suppliers but does nothing for our economy.

I started a thread just before Xmas with regard for the possible need for an emergency budget by September. It all depends on how bad things get. Its all about houses really...if they go into freefall then its curtains for a huge slice of Government revenue.

It won't be a budget to curtail spending. It'll ba a budget to increase the taxes we pay so they can continue to give Civil service management their annual increments and bounses.

Presumably we are due exchequer returns this afternoon.
Expect retail sales to be down appreciably.
    Car sales are also waekening.

4 months into 2008, the pattern for the year is now well set.
It is not getting any better.
