What's Nicehash? Does this mean that Bitcoin is now hackable?

Investors will be essentially betting using USD and not bitcoin.

So someone posted that basically those Shorting bitcoin would be betting against: a finite supply asset, with an infinite supply one (USD). And remarked that there is a concern that should the Shorts fail, it could turn into a blackhole and suck USD out of say, commodities and other assets to cover it.
You do know there is an infinite supply of crypto currency. Ethereum for example is indistinguishable in every single respect to Bitcoin.

That is just another of the misconceptions furling this hysteria.

No. It was a mining operation and its wallet was hacked/plundered.

Wall Street lobbying against introduction of bitcoin futures trading, which CBOE start on Sunday and the CME on Dec 17. All the more reason to buy bitcoin.

Either way I applaud the opportunity that this technology has offered to all and sundry.

I'll lobby the technical authors to name a severe bearish reversal fading to a long term state of distress as the 'Jackie'.

May his posts not be in vain!
    5th Elliot Wave

    LOL

Go to a seance or shuffle some tarot cards
They would be just as useful

The surge has nothing to do with technical, it is a worldwide buying frenzy bubble powered by the greatest bubble fuel of all "greed", pump primed by a worldwide flood of Nigerian fraudster type ads "taxi man gets tip in bitcoin 3 years ago, is now a millionaire"
There are plenty of multi billion dollar funds itching to short this but clever enough not to try to stop a demented buying frenzy YET.
When all the novices and box room chartists are sitting pretty and dreaming of the next move to 100k, the big boys (who know this is a joke but have carried you guys along on the wave) will take their profits and then short the ************************ out of it
When it drops 60-70%, guys like you will double up, citing some chart bull about a massive rebound off "a key 200 day MA" or some other voodoo BS.

still lovin the fact there are a bunch of nerdy paper millionaires out there. as usual the main people to benefit will be people with muti million portfolios who put 1% or 2% in Bit coin a couple of years back as a hedge, not to trade.

    On technical analysis and tea-leaves....

Spent the last few days reading the crowd view that we were in an "ascending wedge", with expected subsequent price fall.

Result - price broke out upwards by something like 20%.

My investment was worth 37 euros last night and is now 43.33. Question is will the bitcoin futures on Sunday accelerate, decelerate or crash the price?

Update back down to 41.80 now maybe because of the scaremongering in msm.
