Is there any risk to deposit accounts in Ireland? According to the story, the bank have assured the public that Irish deposit accounts are safe.

However, would it be worth moving money held with them to somewhere else ?

Sorry about that, but in fairness, the 2 threads started within minutes of each other.

I checked the forum and didn't see any thread about it (guess I spent to much time writing the post ).

(If a mod wants to merge the 2 threads, that would be great).

Ah, I don't want to sound preachy, it's just that there seems to be an upsurge of clutter on the site. Fair play for checking the forum. An awful lot of posters don't seem to do anything that basic.
