The real joke is that he took advantage of the early retirement scheme so the government could save on salaries. Then the government re-advertised the position he wasn't needed for in the first place.

Only teachers / public sector employees could come up with that logic as a means of saving!!

Excellent points. How can they be so stupid as to not slash those salaries? If the Shinners had any brains they'd give a chunk of the excess money back to the taxpayer or at least to charities, power would be in the post.
