Actually, never been to the Aran Islands. Anyone know if they're worth a visit? Got 3 kids, so need to bear that in mind.
For a day trip fine. Advantage with Glens of antrim by comparison they are near Belfast which has lots in it including the titanic centenary this year.
The north never really did it for me to be honest. I have a soft spot for the Hook Peninsula but the southwest and Connemara are the places I really like.
Up the Glens (the lesser known parts) is fantastic as are the people. Hell, Robert De Niro goes to Cushendall after Liam Neeson introduced him to it.

Much happening up there this year? Is it April that is actually the centenary?
