To those who have the 2+2 (or more) option, you know... anywhere on the Continent for two weeks with the kids B+B hotel and flights etc. or a Keycamp or similar with the ferry, how would the price in say July or August compare with two weeks in Ireland?
I'm talking hotel or renting a house etc. for two weeks in Ireland.
Yeah, and it's for exactly those reasons that I wouldn't stay in Ireland for holidays. 3 kids, and there are some lovely places to go to, but if it's lashing down on top of you, it's just miserable. Trying to entertain 3 kids is tough enough at hoe, without going to some Irish hotel and paying through the nose to do the same!
OK, let's think about it Ireland style...
Rooms in decent hotels (high season) say 70 per night PER PERSON X 2 = 140 plus one for kids.. same 140.
So that is 280 per night X 14 = 3,920 or thereabouts.
OK you might get some better deals so let's say 3, 500.
Then you have to pay for diesel, petrol to get there.. plus food at Ireland prices, plus all the extra bits.
The sunnyside of the street seems better somehow.
