No. Except the EU Commission and the ECB. But none here except for a handful of people who thoroughly believe in "Europe" (the bureacracy that is, and certainly not any of her peoples).

Even the IMF and the British Chancellor of the Exchequer have a more favourable viewpoint than the current FG/ILP government.

The current government have the Handicap that they must beg to borrow the price of our supper and seek remission for money already lent plus seek a reduction of interest rate all in one go.

When you are meeting the bank manager for an overdraft increase you have to reassure him of your ability to meet the terms, at least until the money is advanced.

There is lots of time in the future to give him hard luck stories onece he has parted with the cash. That must be Kenny's Strategy. Telling the bank manager you are going to default on th eloan you are applying for is not a great strategy.

The important thing is to get more from the bank than they are getting from you. When the the flow becomes negative is Default Day

Movement is likely to occur in relation to the funding of the Ango Promisary Notes. The government have been pushing for a while now and at this stage more than th ecanaries are falling on the floor.

The first thing they will say is because of the Greeks. The Sinners will say we never owed it anyway, that it was never our debt. RTE highly paid presenters will suggest Fianna Fail could have got a better deal or that it was inevitable in any event.
I don't suppose you've considered creating fewer threads that are quality threads as opposed to the significant number of crap threads you're generating currently?

This thread started out as an attempt at a guilt trip for people criticizing the government's level of obedience over the issue of the bondholders.

And all that it has revealed is that the government has abandoned promises like "it's Labour's way or Frankfurt's way" and "not another cent".

It is not the critics who need to feel the guilt. We have been consistent. Others have not.

I for one won't begrudge him it if he brings home some bacon.

Its time for fair comment: By all means hit 'em when they screw up. But if they get something right then credit where credit is due.

We can't afford to turn our noses up at anything anymore. It's that simple really.
