Value of fishing resources given to the EU by Ireland

The word according th the EU.

Ireland has indirectly contributed €200+ billion in fish resources to the EU.
Which puts lie to those here who said it was only a few billion.

Todays, 04/02/2012, episode of Saturday with Charlie Bird. RTÉ Radio Player 35 minutes into the show.
A nice-spoken young woman uttered the words. Dr Karen Devine. (I was mistaken in the other post) She gave a good break-down of what the EU gave to Ireland and what Ireland gave to the EU.

It seems from the figures that Ireland has given more to the EU than she recieved, as has been claimed here and elsewhere.

"We" handed over those resources to the EU, "we" are saving the European banks. "We" are good Euro peons.

    Too damned funny, boys.

How are the fish supposed to know their in Irish waters?
They're just fish happily swimming along from plaice to plaice. The don't tend to stick to one small area.
The day before they could have been in French or British waters. Then some trawler comes along and scoops them up.
All the same to the fish where it happened. How can you determine fish who happen to be in our waters are our fish?
Maybe there are no fish in our waters except for those passing through on their way somewhere else?
We'd need to establish the nationality of the fish to be sure.

    Plaice? nice pun

Anyway, we have a right to set the terms of use for irish territorial waters. We should be carving our waters into blocks and selling 5 year leases to the highest bidder. it would generate a fortune in revenue and we wouldnt permanantly lose our rights of ownership.

James Reilly gave the same €200 billion figure before the election saying that it would be an important factor in negotiation with Brussels.

You're codding me? That Enda, he's a right Pollock. The Plaice is falling apart and he still gives away our fish. It's time to macke-ral change in this country.

More Naval ships to patrol our waters against illegal fishing!

Having difficulties comprehending "resources" as a concept? And can you refute Dr Devine's statement? If you can't, I don't mind.
