Poll shows almost half of people will not pay the household charge

A poll at Journal.ie shows that nearly half the people who have voted will not pay their hosehold charge.

Nearly 4,000 people have voted so far with 43% saying they will not pay the charge with 35% saying they will pay it reluctantly.

Just 10% of people say they will pay it.

Poll: Will you pay the household charge? TheJournal.ie

People voting No are lying. I like the option "Yes but reluctantly".

Are there enthusiastic tax payers out there?

And Ric Flair won the Time man of the century online poll. You know why? Because online polls are all worthless and the only people who put any stock whatsoever in them needed to spend a little bit longer in the microwave before being taken out to eat.

What I think this shows is a strong number of people are dead set against this tax, if they manage to create a campaign against this tax then more people will join the No side.

I could see this being similar to the poll tax in the UK. Maybe not next year but almost certainly in 2013 when the tax jumps to its real amounts.
