The pay cuts in the PS saved us 870 million a year, with the worst cuts experienced by ordinary PS workers. Yet 100 Billion of taxpayers money has been given to bail out the private sector speculators. That's where the real problem lies. I agree that the PS needs careful reform, but not in the form of a political scapegoat.

Our banks in Ireland are bunkered down, upping charges and not lending to SME's and at the same time selling off 'working parts' in Europe and the USA.
Why? To please whom? Why does it sound like removing the beating heart part and rendering the useless body even more useless and in need of taxpayer/customer money?
Is this keeping the family ornaments and selling the family business?

Isn't selling State assets a fundamental element in the FG proposed solution to the current crisis? Haven't they said that is exactly what they will do when they get in after the next election?
