I'd be delighted with a three day week.

Well, I know people who were put on a three day work week, none that actually opted to be put on a three day work week. Most want the full week for the full wage, they need the money.

The increase in three day working week could have some bearing on the higher live register numbers.

there are plenty of variations on the 3 day week. Some opt for a three day week and then work for cash on the two days that aren't supposed to be working. The employer makes up the difference between that and the dole and probably gives them cash OT and a small bit extra for the "inconvenience". Everyones a winner here except the taxpayer.
