UPDATE 2-Irish Finance Minister doubtful about bad bank plan | Reuters

    ANGLO DEBTORS
The government has placed heavy restrictions on the accounts of major debtors of Anglo Irish Bank ANGL.I under a draft nationalisation law, which will be debated in parliament on Tuesday.
Under the proposed legislation, anyone who owes the commercial lender 20 million euros or more will be prevented from withdrawing money if the total in their accounts would drop below the amount owed.
The only way the debtor can get around the restriction is by applying for the written consent of the bank itself.
This proposal was subsequently dropped by Lenihan before the Bill for Anglo's nationalisation was enacted.

    Why so?

Doubt the FF Press Office would allow their TV station allow one of their programmes ask this

Lenihan will appear like a solemn burglar, who has just destroyed an OAP's house, stolen all her contents and wrecked the furnishings saying he will replace the rose bush he accidentally trampled on during his escape, all in the interests of reducing the overall cost to the owner.

    €40-60bn including NAMA.

And that's just Anglo! €80-100bn for all the banks.

Still living in a fantasy world if they are still spoofing it'll just be €25bn.

I know its been mentioned before but just watching this it reminded me again...

-> why is Anglo Irish transferring loans to NAMA?

The state loses either way as they are both state companies. It is a waste of time & money. Either the Anglo losses increase or the Name losses increase.
