And btw, if some one in the public service owns a villa in the south of France due to thier own good fortune thats fine by me, Myers is more than often ridiculous. But thats not remotely the point, the point is, and you know it, that we can't afford the bills and to suggest we can sustain the PS bill or afford the Croke Park agreement is crazy. A lot of people are in negative equity but unfortunately that doesnt mean we can afford the bills either. Being angry at Bertie, Seanie, Brians etc doesn't generate money. Again, my post was not baded on any one person but about the unsustainable cost of the public bill.

he took his username from a place where Trinity students hang around and complain about the size of the allowance the get from their parents - I'd not be holding my breath for an intelligent response from the guy who plagiarises Kevin Myers, then denies it, makes assumptions based on fictitious people, and then accuses other people (in an illiterate manner) of being presumptuous!

I'd still love to hear his explanation as to how come his original diatribe came out at 6am. I suspect a sexual refusal from a nurse some hours earlier may have played a part ...!

Some people are terrible for grudging a nurse.

And I'd love to take JCR aside for a few weeks and give him some succinct spelling lessons + rules...maybe even in the south of France, or...hell, anywhere in France!

Some logic while you're at it.

Wow, its like talking to Willie O Dea, listening to a guy make up a load of rubbish and then attacking it - you've moved on from talking about drink to now throwing in sex with nurses now I see - what are you going to say to the IMF/whoever finally decides to sort out the PS bill? Something like this maybe - 'You've read too many Myers articles, its all fine here actually we've turned the corner dont ya know, no unsustainable deficits here, you must be drunk and running around after nurses and maybe you went to Trinity too. What? What do you mean I'm being let go? No, you don't understand Kevin Myers is an idiot and he controls your mind, you must understand' You really are in for one hell of a brutal wake up call.

Eh, what point were you making here now exactly? And what point would you like me to address previously? The fact that you are giving out about a Myers article? Take it up with him if you want and stop ascribing your objection to Myers points to mine. How about about addressing my point rather than banging on about Kevin Myers? Which is that if a political party is beholden to unions to the point that wannabe policy makers run for election based on unsustainable nonsense (e.g Croke Park) likely to result in state bankruptcy people might just decide to leave. And its a very valid point point to make to Labour and Gilmore while they wind up for a GE because we all know Labour will be the kingmaker.

No, I'm not talking about any Myers article, people used that toward you and now you're zoning in on that in an attempt to distract from the holes people are picking in your argument. You've said this before, that I was basing my argument on the Myers article but then I refuted this by saying "I made my arguments based on the fact that you were banging on about some PS worker who went on holidays. You never stated what they earned, what they do for that money, if they have a partner who is earning too, if they went with friends/family who paid their way, if they came into money recently all those things." This has little or nothing to do with a Myers article, so stop using it to get out of answering people's points.

So now, as you appear incapable of answering my questions in any other format, I'm going to lay them out for you one by one. Answer each individually - it'll make it a lot easier for you.
    1) What job did the PS worker in question have?
    2) What did the PS worker earn?
    3) You said in a previous post that PS workers have not suffered - to back this up you used one piece of anecdotal evidence and said "Oh the pain of a month in a French Villa rented at very expensive cost, the pain of three weeks tour in one of the nicest places of the world, the pain... ". Do you actually know how much the holiday cost, and what do you wish PS workers to be paid, since that to you shows they are not suffering?
    4) Croke Park is legally binding until 2014, how do you want to see PS pay cut?
    5) Why can simple reforms like cutting overtime etc not be used to bring the bill down?
    6) Do you know said PS worker?
    7) Do you anything about their finances?

That sentence doesn't make sense. 10 people cannot duplicate two peoples jobs. 10 people can duplicate 5 people's jobs or 4 people can duplicate 2 people's jobs but 10 people cannot duplicate 2 people's jobs - both grammatically and mathematically impossible.
