Worse than that, Decadance, on the same day Donegal County Council also GRANTED permission for a further 13 wind turbines:
Croaghnameal -- 8 -- (12/50107)
Meenadreen -- 5 -- (12/50108)
Sure aren't they lovely unobtrusive things, almost organic, that blend easily in with nature:

Interesting that a letter was published on the Corkermore Wind Farm Extension planning file describing the special purpose vehicles used by Energia and describing, in part, the relationships between Whaplode Limited and Corkermore Wind Farm Limited but on other planning files such as the extension of time for 28-turbines at Meenadreen outside Donegal Town the applicant Wind Generation Ire Ltd could rely on commercial sensitivity and not have details published. see file - Donegal County Council Planning Enquiry

It is a bit ironic that those objecting to wind farm construction now promoted this one off type housing a few years ago, or that some of them accept the ESB's money for putting pylons on their land which will only serve to increase the amout of land in Donegal which will be available for wind farms.
Yes the council in Donegal have plenty to answer for. They promoted one-off housing and are now promoting the destruction of the county with wind farms. Now we have an opportunity to stop the madness and we should seize it.
We are seeking support please visit www . gwig . net and give us some help!
