Is this in line with projections, better than projections, or worse than projections?

How can they ever expect to decrease the deficit when they are deflating the economy?

Also their example of cutting pay in the public sector has led to the private sector implementing pay cuts which has brought many a family into the welfare zone through FIS (Family Income Supplement). There is no jobs policy, can they not see that creating new jobs retains the ones that are there already? I can go on and on all day. I think we can be thankful its only 600m worse off than last year.

I got a pay cut of 100% last year, it was'nt caused by cuts in the public sector let me assure you.

We need productive jobs not public sector jobs.

Seems expenditure overall is still increasing even allowing for big drop in capital side i did I read it incorrectly?

Income tax still down & I think levy increases were not implemented for the first half of last year. I suppose more tax extracted from less people. VAT also down on last year.
