The rubrics of the older threads should be edited to reflect current realities.

OK, maybe CS has graduated to far more sophisticated threads like http://www.politics.ie/europe/145874...rt-thread.html (which s/he set up as a backhanded compliment to my own excellent http://www.politics.ie/europe/131838...abilising.html thread ).

But surely you don't begrudge a bit of traditional oul' Irish Schadenfreude now, do you?

Ha ha! Trust the phrase to gain pleasure out of someone elses misfortune is German! And misfortune? Betting on these 2 rotten fiat currencies would be like betting on 2 flies crawling on a wall. QE(n+1) has destined the US dollar to oblivion (the Dollar Index is at its lowest for 2 years and its key lowest 71.15 floor is within range).

No misfortune with the reality of comparing the performance of the Euro against these fine, honourable, noble and time tested commodities. Get with the times folks, Fiat currencies is soooooooo 20th century.

    Indeed...

However Doomsday? Meh, 2 years on after further debasement of the US Dollar by the Bernank since (QE2 nearly $1 Trillion) the Euro is at $1.2495.

    Europe is fixed (n+1)....
