    Correction, the rest of the eurozone will have to bail them out.
    WE will have to borrow more to contribute to the bailout so WE can look for a bailout in a few months time.
    You're "doing the world a favour" request will soon be applied to Ireland.

    If Ireland received a bailout who would distribute the money and/or what would it be used for ? Would it just pay down National Debt ?

    The EU/IMF bailouts are just loans they would be added to the national debt.
