    Since privatisation Eircom was asset stripped (the real motivation behind privatisation) and line rentals continued to rise higher and higher.

    It's quite depressing to watch Ireland refuse to learn from the mistake other countries have made and charge blindly into it's own era of privatisation which will reap exactly the same toll on public services in the country.

    Britain is now looking to re-privatise much of it's rail in the coming years, is that not a little clue to you guys? Do you have any idea how much money has been lost by the time this comes full circle, whilst rail travel in the UK has suffered terribly.

    Maybe it's time to think up your own solutions to problems rather than simply copying what the Brits did 10 years ago?
