    Anglo offices raided, Sean Fitzpatrick arrested over financial irregularities

    From the Gardai...

    Arrest of one male re financial irregularities 18th March 2010

    As part of the ongoing investigation by Gardai from the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation into alleged financial irregularities at a Financial Institution, a search was carried out this morning the 18th March 2010 and a male in his early 60s has been arrested. He is being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Bray Garda Station.
    9.50 - RTE (and others) are now confirming the man arrested is Sean Fitzpatrick.

    that alone probably means hes a well known individual.

    bit of mixed reporting going on about this issue. newstalk broke it first , stating the blokes from the northside of the city and alluding to working for anglo.

    while RTE.IE have stated he's being held by wiclow gardai which would seem to indicate he's from that area of the country.

    all agree he's a banker though and in his 60s.

    fun times ahead now (hopefully)

    Aged 60 when he resigned in December 2008, ***** had worked the bank for more than 33 years.

    Link on it on Breaking News states the same. A man in his 60's taken to Bray Garda station. No comment from Anglo..
