With regard politics yes, are you saying the consensus view in Ireland now is that house prices are rising?

I'm saying there is no consensus view that house prices will continue to fall.

Dan, you selected a castle as your choice of a purchase. Why so? I am interested in your view, I'm guessing that you believe that the whole place is going to collapse within months and that somehow by buying this castle...they will get to keep it during and after the collapse?

    Hi Libertarian-right.

Who better deserves a castle than myself from having to deal with FG socialists that know so little about economics that they don't even realise they are socialists. Fortunately a good lesson is coming and I hope some granny gives Enda Kenny a kick in the castlebar.

I opened my own site to talk about money and am answering this important question. I am relating how John Law in 1721 is crucial to the situation now.

Honestly, I despair at the intellectual capabilities of the Irish nation.
Ah, good old statistics! Sure who wouldn't believe them. If 67%of people who are actually actively looking for a house was a true figure the estate agents would be working overtime!
The logic-free zone that is Irish politics.

Theres a good chance people will lose their jobs. Why should they put the weight of a mortgage around their necks ? What if a few years into the mortgage their best hope of a decent standard of living is to emigrate to Australia ?

If they are useless fools working for the government then there is an excellent chance they will lose their jobs.

I gave my reasons why now is a time for action.

MissAnneThorpe can listen to me or she can listen to the other posters
