    Hmmm...

I'd imagine that they'll learn from this. Lots of dross on the site.

Then again, there are a couple of good ideas, such as one I read about local 'bonds' to help local businesses, but because they involve state policy or the production of goods and/or services, they're most likely not going to work. Sadly.

They'll probably go for some arty ideas about preserving the 'cultural heritage' of the country. All well and good, aye, but not what's needed, surely?

I'm putting together a submission myself, see how I get on. I'll take it seriously as I do have a rather good idea I think. Interesting to see if I get anywhere with it.

Plenty of prior evidence to suggest that's not how things work here unfortunately

In recent years there have been numerous talks about creating a way to use wind to store energy. Please forgive my ignorance but I do not know exactly how this works but i presume, turbines are set facing the wind, wind blows and turns turbines and the energy created is stored? If this is in fact the case, is it possible to build a facility whereby people could turn said turbines. Via peddling walking, hand peddling etc? If so, I can't help but think almost everybody is capable of turning some sort of such a device. We currently have how many people unemployed. Would you go to work where you required to peddle a bike and have the energy you created stored. Payment could be on an amount produced amount paid basis, so you didn't have to sweat your behind off all day but work at your own pace. If we wanted to earn more then you would produce more. If we can in fact build such a facility we could this energy and sell it world wide.
Lol! Talk about reinventing the wheel - this idiot wants to go one better (worse?) & reinvent the treadmill!

Never mind the cheap flights, this is the one to put the bankers on!

    That is breath taking.

If this person is serious, they should just pay the hundred grand over to him right now and get working on this plan.

The proposals on the site fall into 3 categories:

Proposals that would be illegal under EU Law
Proposals that involve the State spending money it doesn't have
Proposals that are legal and affordable, but which don't make any sense

It'll be a close call to see how wins the prize

We shouldn't bother with the bikes. Surely we can just plug people directly into the power supply. Sure I saw it in a movie:

    Here's my idea :

    Take that website down immediately.

If the international investment community start reading it, we're rightly screwed.
