FF refused to give hanger 6 to Ryanair out of their pet hate for OLeary. The lost over 500 jobs because of this. They lied to the Dail.

    The end is nigh.

Don't you know aircraft burn fossil fuels, therefore they're inherently bad. Now if Hanger 6 was to be used to make windfarms out of non-GM organic waste, heaven and earth would be overturned to facilitate the knowledge economy and the new Greener Ireland.

Shows how much these FF lites have diecredited those who genuinely care about the environment, so they can claim their vast Dáil salary and pensions.

Looks like Mickey Os dreams have come true. He gets to bring down FF all on his own and Aer Lingus will be his reward.

Things are looking up at last. No more state owned agencies hi jacking markets crucial to economic revival.

If Microsoft or some US company offered 500 jobs, FF would have wined and dined them, offered all sorts of tax breaks etc.

Ryanair offered 500 jobs, and would pay to rent the hanger, FF told them to get stuffed.

    Its end game.

Also, there will be further revelations about Willie tomorrow, which combined with the Ryanair story will sink FF.

Does anyone really believe this will bring down the government? FF will find their way through this. Cowen will probably reshuffle the cabinet and Scary Mary will be replaced.

It has been predicted that most scandals the government has faced recently would bring down the government. FF are like cockroaches, they will survive.

This is far beyond incompetance, this is borderline treason. Deliberately using power vested in them by the people, in order to persue a personal vendetta against Ryanair and Michael O'Leary, damaging the lives of citizens and the economy.
Whatever else you might say about O'Leary, he is a man of integrity. You mightn't like what he has to say, but tells you straight up what it is he is going to do, and does exactly that. He doesn't try to sell you anything he's not prepared to have himself, I've been on the same Ryanair flight as him once, he queued just like everybody else. The same cannot be said of Fianna Fail.

O Learys motivation for this is not just business, from what I have heard he is genuinely sicked by the way they handled this and disgusted over the way they let over 500 families suffer because of FF's grudge against him.

If it turns out that Cowen mislead the dail on this one, a vote of no confidence will follow on him, very difficult for Greens to support if he fupped up 500 potential jobs

They were not potential jobs, they were real jobs and they would all be employed right know. This was 500 direct jobs.

The SRT workers have organised a protest somewhere in town next Wednesday.

This will have a different context now that they know they have been screwed by their own Government.

How the hell can any sovereign Govt continue to lead when they have rejected the offer of 500 highly skilled jobs because of the ruling parties differences with the guy offering the jobs?
