The Ryanair statement of 17th Feb certainly lays it on the line - 4 alleged lies to the Dáil, in black and white.

If this is pursued vigourously by the Opposition, it surely has to be curtains for the government.

It's been really interesting watching O'Leary over the last few weeks. This is beginning to have all the hallmarks of a exceptionally clever set-up by O'Leary to maximise damage on a number of his favourite targets, namely the government, the DAA and Aer Lingus.

It's just been full of wing for O'Leary and the scary thing is that we don't know if O'Leary has any bullets left in his smoking gun. I don't think the opposition ever thought they would actually succeed in nailing O'Dea, in the end, it was mostly self-inflicted by O'Dea, FF and the Greens.

There is no point in calling for a vote of confidence in Cowen or C&C, the obvious choice is Coughlan, but they're going to need a lot more than this to nail her, it's a vote on confidence, not competence.

If the O'Leary statement is born out, then competence doesn't enter into the equation. We are then into the area of "misleading the House" and consequently a GE.

But everybody knows that is true. Time to sort this out in court.

Heard the MOL and matt cooper interview. He called them liars with the conviction of a man who had the proof to back it up.Whatever people think of MOL there is no getting away from the fact he's an incredibly capable businessman and its no surprise that he's capable of outsmarting coughlan and cowan. They'l be proclaiming themselves victims in the same vain as poor willie before the week is out methinks

Am really looking forward to next week... I hope FF are faced with irrefutable evidence of a Ryanair stitch up by themselves, the DAA and Aer Lingus with "collateral damage" of 500 jobs.

This is where the fact that there is nobody with real business experience in the cabinet catches up on them. They are going to get severely burned when they try to outsmart a very shrewd businessman.

As a matter of interest is telling the truth alien to FF.

BIFFO couldn`t even tell the truth about Little Willie`s resignation.

They wont tell us the truth on the economy. They wont tell the truth on Anglo. They wont tell the truth on the Bank bailout. They dont tell the truth on job creation.
