    Credit Suisse Report.

The only people that will get to pay a wealth tax are the politicians including Joe Higgins ( how much cash has he accumulated from EU & Dail Eireann ) and Richard SPOOFER Barrett.

Joe was on TWIP. Got in a mention of the Wealth Tax - again! No mention of Credit Suisse though. Seems to have gotten a heads up on that one. Made some vague references to the CSO and the Revenue Commissioners.

Joe was on the verge of claiming that "billions" of Irish people are going to turn out in force on St Patricks day in order to protest against the household charge. He really is using that word all too often these days.

Joe is a big fan of "undertaking a massive programme of public investment to get people back to work", but tonight indicated he was opposed to a €1 billion project to install domestic water meters. It seems he only supports specific investment projects.

"There has also been an increase since this time last year in the percentage of people not saving at all which now stands at 31%. This is a cause for concern if it reflects an inability to save amongst a large proportion of people," he said.

As regards regards the level of saving among those doing so 23% of consumers who are able to save occasionally or regularly save between €26 and
€50 euro a month; a further 23% are saving between €51 and €100 per month, and 22% are saving between €101 and €200 per month."

A nation of savers.................well maybe not quite.
