Your being manipulated and you don’t even know it do you ?

The Dept. definitely and deliberately have though press spin. The work to rule in the passport office has been the same for the last 10 weeks, its only last week the media and dept jumped on it.

Over the long term these actions will come back to haunt the PS unions long after this dispute has been forgotten.
Is PR advice really all that expensive to buy or are the PS unions ideologically opposed to the concept of PR advice?
How do you propose they take IA?

Just accept the cuts. They wont be reversed. Try for a negotiated settlement that your pay will not be cut again in December 2010. Work all the overtime you can get and build up a little nest egg.

    Get a taxi plate

Accept it. They might bypass you in December 2010 if you are lucky.

Even with a €1,000,000,000 cut in PS pay the deficit is €20,000,000,000 and wont be narrowing anytime soon.

Maybe try & get your bosses to reverse the childrens allowance cuts and steer clear of property taxes

Taking people of the payroll is escalation by any standard and that's the threat from the department.

You can't eat PR. You can't wear it. The bank wont take it in lieu of a mortgage payment.
