    National Pensions Reserve Fund performance

They seem to be doing quite well.

16.4% return YTD. Pity one third of the fund has been invested in the AIB and BOI black hole.

And now FF are going to liquidate the fund and "invest" it in our banks.

Opportunity cost = 16.4% plus a lot of Capital no doubt when AIB is nationalised.

Thanks for that Dcon. 80% of the amount that is not stuck in AIB and BoI is involved in the riskier assets, ie equity and property. They should have more in commodities and cash deposits.

Cass, do you know if they invest the cash themselves directly or do they just buy into other larger funds?

Good question. I just assumed that was part of the amount they have in deposit in the Central Bank.
