He said a lot and most of it was rock solid sense.. Of course that kind of talk doesn't go down well here in Ireland where it's all about knocking people and begrudgery..
Sounds like you are just trying to find a snobbish way to dismiss him as a ignoramus rather than engage in the substance of what he actually said..
I could not switch the interview off, I would not be a big fan of O Leary but I have to give him 10/10 for what he said, most of which I just could not disagree with.
Pompus is an understatement for him at times, but I was very impressed with his points and yes I can perhaps swing in his direction more as each day we borrow that 500,000 to to keep the doors open and that shower of numbskulls cant find the right solutions in this crises.
O Leary makes a valid point that the government quangos are costing 8 billion/yr...!!! are we bonkers to allow this to happen.
Major cull needed and let it turn into a bloodbath, or else out the hands up and bring in the IMF.
This must be our only way out at this stage..
Maybe I need to change my footer again and make O Leary Deputy to Mick Wallace..

O'Leary did have a go at her about her holidays and she ingored it as is RTE policy now when ever on air discussions touch the real issues...
Salaries in this country have become totally crazy,, there were full page public sector union adds in the national papers last week implying that 30K and 40K were low salaries which they certainly are not!.. Then you have Marian and Pat Kenny etc on lotto scale salaries paid from state broadcaster..
This country went completey nuts and now we are coming back down to earth with a massive crash..
The unfolding circumstances with cut-backs in all sectors at all levels is scary when you think about how far the poison goes, this is flowing in all sectors, from consultants is all areas from infrastructural projects all the way to healthcare, there are no efficiencies anymore, for example in other countries a consultant actually makes more money whe a design can save on capital costs for a large project, whereas in good old Ireland these consultants get paid a higher fee by over designing projects, after all they get paid in many cases by a % of the total cost, to the main contractors will make a lot of money on the projects and their consultant mates are creaming off with no risks on money persay.
You get all these performance bonds linked in which are slapped on the poor sub-contractors who have in the main been running the construction industry for years.
Sorry I am off the topic but its all relative to efficiencies and managing the overheads, that is what O Leary does with his company and good luck to the man
