If we were all born equal we would all be white, middle-class, middle-aged men!

    How many have left?

    You tell me.

The point is why were they allowed in

    - when there are not enough jobs for our own People!
I don't know thats why I was arguing but it certainly should be taken into consideration, I don't care where you came from if you want to work then go ahead. I have no problem with a productive member of society, those who were on the dole during the good times and continue to be those are the people you should have a problem with. They've taken far more of the Irish people

You will always get something !.Was there not a recent scam where eu nationals who knew full well they were not entitled to the dole were making claims as the were getting suplementary allowance from the community welfare until their claims were determined, nobody especially foreigners gets turned away with nothing.Anybody who does not realise our social welfare system is being ridden left, right, upside down and back to front is only codding themselves. Que the usual clowns arriving with "but the irish do it aswell" so what,it's bad enough i have to support them without importing them aswell.

From the UK, old EU, the US, Canada, Oz and NZ there are about 27,000.

    Then we have (approx):
    Poland 14k
    Latvia 4k
    Lituania 4k
    Hungry 2k
    Romania 3k

    That's another c.27,000.

So if you are going to complain about a number (and believe me, I also want to know what 888 Nigerians are doing here), then complain about a figure of around 25k, not 80k, because there is no question whatsoever that the immigration noted above is legitimate.
I think you will find that a high proportion of those claiming to be from the UK, old EU, the US, Canada, Oz and NZ were not actually born there.

As for 'legitimate' that maybe so

    - but its still not needed at a time like this.

Yes, indeed. Makes you wonder whether we are just another small region of an emerging EU + Turkey empire pretending to be sovereign or have we actually dispensed with the notion of the nation state once and for all.

Yes most immigrants have no respect for the culture they enter, having a low level of culture themselves, they could not begin to appreciate why anyone should die to keep what had been developed over thousands of years.
We give up who we are at a huge price .
Those who think Irish culture is backward are like those who think religion is about fundamentalists, and 6000yrs of creation.
They themselves not being very advanced do not understand the more complex
neccessity of retaining What can never ever be Recreated.
OH they care about aboriginals,Indians etc ,but Irish ,who are they ,just moaners ,racists.

We have more respect for buildings ,and such than our living culture, which is unique in the world, and loved by those with insight. It needs to be aided ,not put in danger.
There is a very serious sickness around people like GNASHER and type, who will attack all but the real enemy, and who cannot wait to finally kill of Ireland as a culture.

Those who compare the Irish going to U.K. for jobs to others from non EU or recent E.U.
are disingenuous in the extreme, and Gnasher your accusation to
Bui Cuin better be sure because it is calumny if not,and a very serious business.

I fear for Irish society when I read a post like this. Just proves there is something wrong with our education system, education is suppose to be the remedy to ignorance, so either the poster had a very poor level of education or our system is failing

I think there should be a campaign to PATENT Irish traditional culture.
That would be before the P.C. brigade have reduced all EU. culture to rubble, and to 3rd world level.
