Limerick Mayor calls for deportation of EU nationals

I don't really think the mayor is to blame for the silly nonsense he came out with.He undoubtedly got carried away with the previous favourable publicity he's received from his "high" profile in Limerick.He's just an ignorant man in a position he shouldn't really be in.He's typical of the lower middle class/upper working class background he hails from.......semi- educated and full of prejudice and suspicion about "outsiders"
Our corporations and councils are full of people like him.These totally unsuitable people are continuously being elected because huge nos. of Irish people who vote for them, have a deep suspicion of tolerant educated people who can put a few words of English together without actually crucifying the language.Racism is rife amongst great nos. of our people.Fortunately, it hasn't assumed a physical aggressiveness....yet! But that poor clown of a mayor sure isn't helping.
