Some not so bad news on rte.ie

Ireland's GDP expected to drop by a reduced amount in 2009 (7.5% from about 9%), 2010 expected drop about 1.5% and 2011 expected increase by 2.6% and unemployment now expected to peak at a reduced level of 14% (prob not far off that now).

In any sane country this is what would be done but when you have Clowen, Lenny and numerous other members of the banking oligarchy-gombeenocracy pushing the buttons, then be afraid, be very afraid.

My advice to you all is look to yourselves and your families. The coming tsunami that is to arrive will sweep many away.

Its seems that many in the Establishment are still in a state of denial. RTE Pravda repeating the well worn mantra of the soft landing, ah sure it wont be too bad, we'll be alright.

People should be hearing that they need to hear not what they want to hear. Reality will eventually catch up.

Surely "sliding into" is the wrong term, "goverened recklessly towards" would seem more appropriate.

I'd agree, eggs in all the one basket at this time is not a wise choice.

We are already in a depression as GDP has dropped by more than 10% from the peak. A Great depression is 25% from peak, thats were we would be only that exports have saved 15% of GDP.

A simple and effective solution. They'll never accept it.
