    Budget 2010 Predictions

With the new budget just around the corner, what do you expect it to entail?

Also, when is it due to be announced?

A question was raised in the Dáil today as to the date, the Government did not answer. I suppose we will find out in a week or so given that the issue has now been raised before the House.

    What to expect? Cuts.

Cuts indeed which are needed, does anyone on here have any insider info other than the McCarthy report or Taxation reports? Or maybe even some indication as to which elements from each may or may not be implemented?

Cuts are the worst thing to do. We are propping up the financial sector and giving the economy any stumulus. Crazy alltogether.

A collapse of the government ,the greenies will not pass the budget .GE called.
A champion of the people emerges with the age-old and appealing promise of "something for nothing" - to be financed through every-increasing taxes. Supply and demand are thrown out of gear - the overhead goes up; the effective use of human energy goes down; the standard of living is lowered because money cannot buy wealth that is not produced.

This gubermint is going to collapse ,the girls and boys in the greenie party are fighting to keep their political careers alive and save face ,the only way to do this is to pull out of government by collapsing the budget.Which i reckon they will do.
