    The Ireland we live in

I have not commented on this site for some time. Why, I got tired of the NAMA and Lisbon Treaty debating and the lack of cohesive discussion about our Country, Ireland. We have threads that snipe at various aspects of our Politicians. But actually we are just like lemmings.
We are going to allow a few Green Flies decide whether to bring our Government down for no other reason than to satisfy the Tree Huggers.
We are going to allow a moron, Mary Coughlan, back pedal on the Green Flies push bike nonsense to try and get her to stop digging. The fact is that she would make a great miner as she can dig holes faster and deeper than anyone else.
We have a fat idiot that we call a Taoiseach who can only preach like an Artane School Principal and dish out punishment to those that do not like the Holy Trinity of Cowen, Lenihan and Sister Mary Coughlan. He issues punishment to the whole people of Ireland like a Manic Christian Brother in a collective manner by way of destroying the lifestyle of the citizens.
We pay those that destoyed the State by means of a Golden Handshake or by ensuring they have no Legal Battles to be fought for their blatant Corruption and Underhanded deals by which the Approved Lenders made personal profit.
So His Lordship Gormley has decided that 66% of the Tree Huggers are going to decide the future of Ireland, if he can get them away from their illegal activities of opposing the Law of the Land. The approval of the Shell Pipeline being one. I understand that the locals are afraid to leave their homes for fear of the Tree Huggers abuse that has escalated and brought every thug within the country to join, well done Gormley or do you have a Boyle needs bursting?
But we have the Opposition, or do we? No, our fearless Dana Kenny and the man of the Unionised People Gilmore will do everything in their power to stay out of power. Does that mean they are an Opposition or just a bunch of spineless rats waiting to feed of the fat corpse of Cowen and Co. but do not have an idea of how to run a good newsagency? Yes is the answer.
Fidel O'leary went on tv the other night and single handed almost destroyed the Yes Vote. Who would put a blithering dictatorial idiot like him up to represent the rights of the people of Ireland, ehh we would.
Gerry Adams is now telling us how we should protect the People of Ireland, those his terrorist army have not shot or bombed that is. I think Mary Lou carries her weapons in the bags under her eyes.
So do I have the answers? No, because I would be wasting my time like most people on this site trying to convince the Sadists that took over from abusing children in society to now abuse the Working People of Ireland and Protect their Buddies who are Blatant Criminals and we will pay their punishment.
I did not write this for debate, I just wrote what I see.
How many survived the the sinking of the Titanic and where would you be safer?
Maybe someday we will be a Nation Once Again and that is still 26 Counties.

Well in fairness to Gormley, maybe if we leave him at it for another bit he may succeed in doing something that most people feel necessary for our survival---he may destroy FF or at least change their policies of sleaze and corruption beyond recognition---this would be a step on the road to recovery. We now appear to have a situation where he can ring the Boss and get him to direct Ministers not to issue statements that he dosent like---presume Brian will soon issue a notice to Ministers not to issue any policy statements without first running them past John to ensure that they have his approval

Sorry to cut quote you short but it was a long, but excellent post, I live outside Ireland most of the year and spend a lot of time looking in.. The whinging, excuses and the classroom mentalities are unbelievingly loud from where I am. What happened to the chest bursting pride virus we were struck with it not so long ago. Do you have to be abroad to still have it I wonder?

So lets get this straight . Your giving out about corruption , fat cats , underhand deals , citizens being messed about , the state being broke and private armies as well as the fact the Irish people are like lemmings and doing nothing about it .
While reserving your most bitter venom for those who actually oppose billions upon billions of our national resources being given away tax and royalty free to corporate fatcats who wont even be giving us a discount . And who can write off their foreign exploration costs against the Irish taxpayer . And an experimental pipeline pumping odourless untreated gas right past the front doors of Irish families at previously unhaeard of pressures . All thanks to sweet deals negotiated with Ray Burke and Bertie Ahern . In private .
Corporate fatcats with a private army , some of whose members are currently implicated in a plot to assassinate the president and archbishop of Bolivia .
And your expressing your hatred for the citizens who arent lemmings and are opposing this .

you sound like a bit of a tool to be honest .

Agreed, there are too many contradictions there.

When the decision was upheld to build a motorway through the Tara Valley, its was clear this was a country that was socially, morally and intellectually bankrupt. It was only a matter of time before we were also financially bankrupt.

The only way that we can restore our pride and get this country moving again is to embrace wholeheartedly the need to boost our exports, using either our indigineous companies and resources or using those resources to attract new FDI.
Our renewable energy resources will be the rock on which we can rebuild our economy and only a fool would not believe that we must use every tool available to us.
