Give me one good reason why the taxpayer should share any risk? Just one reason.

Ryan is a clown. He just talked about NAMA making a profit, but says that doesnt depend on a rebound in property prices...

Most of us see this as a bad deal for the people of this country and highlights the sheer corruption in this country.

The idea on the reporting is nonsense also. As I suggested on another thread, this information should be available in realtime on a website. I could give them the software to do this for the prices of one of MrCarrolls 2 bed apartments.

    "Windfall Tax to discourage speculation

A windfall tax of 80% on profits gained from increases in land value due to re-zoning decisions will be introduced to ensure that land speculation is not rewarded in the future"

Absolute rubbish, With enough commercial and residential units to last the country untill 2020 and beyond. It will be a long time before a windfall profit will be made on land.

FF told the Greens that the prices are going to rise again.

Good but MORE work is needed such as director's salary/bonuses capped, fire any directors who was involved in reckless lending such as BOI CE R Bouchier. I believe that could be the main reason as to why Desmond sold his shares.

Valuers needs to be outside and independent just because it was the same valuers such J Mulcahy/others et al was assessing the properties in a positive light or in another words, artificially inflating property/ies prices etc.

The problem with Dobson is that he is a FF sympathiser as RTE especially the top level, supports FF in a big way
