Does that mean that the rise is back on?
Are you seriously suggesting that property is moving at even a sliver of the pace it was even this time last yr.

Properties are staying on the market longer and longer and longer.

Prices are falling as has been demonstrated on this thread. As it gathers pace a crash becomes more and more inevitable.

I know people have been saying there will be a crash for a while now, to the point that the uninformed have a premise to dismiss it as alarmist but all that happened was the predicitions where premature.

There will be a crash. It is an economic, historic, dynamic certainty.
Voters don't decide issues, they decide who will decide issues.

I'm not aware of any relaible readings that relate to present data. In general, we only have hindsight to guide us.
When you see the words "Mises" or "Hayek" in someone's post, just ask yourself: do I really want to ban paper money and go back to gold?

You have to pity the kind of people who buy into conspiracy theories. I find the following to be the saddest words on the internet: "Re: connection between Bilderberg puppet lady gaga and viral outbreak in ukraine "

Well, we have Daftwatch. That clearly shows inventory continues to build steadily. We also have huge amounts of anecdotal tales of houses sitting on the market for months on end, something unheard of for the last decade. All pointing to a massive slowdown in sales volume.

I take daftwatch with a pinch of salt because it's no use for non-internet sales.

It's like only looking at Aldi and Lidl when surveying for grocery prices.

The internet is for bargain-hunters and unusually desperate sellers.

Wrong... All houses for sale at all the Major Estate agents are Listed on Daft and/or Myhome by the agents themselves as part of their automated listing systems...

After all "MyHome.ie was launched in February 2001 and under the ownership of Sherry FitzGerald, Douglas Newman Good, Gunne, AIB and a number of smaller shareholders."

OK you may be right, but I'm still not going to take internet info seriously.

Especially in such a bull-infested market as housing.

"NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The slump in home prices was both deeper and more widespread than ever in the fourth quarter, according to a trade group report Thursday.

Prices slumped 2.7 percent in the fourth quarter compared to the fourth quarter of a year earlier, according to the report from the National Association of Realtors. That's the biggest year-over-year drop on record, and follows a 1.0 percent year-over-year decline in the third quarter."
