There an item down which is connected to removing the fly-postering ban in the city, and if it is to be voted on, it needs to be moved foward. So I was trying to find out what number that item is on the agenda.

I think that what has happened is that under some litter management act, if a group/indivdual wishes to put up posters, they must write to the city council parks department two weeks in advance and request that posters may be put up. Said posters must have name of organiser, time/date/place of event, and contact number of organiser. The posters must be taken down within three days of the event.
A few years ago, the city council instructed the city manager to direct the parks department to refuse ALL requests to put up posters in Dublin city.
There is a motion on Monday to scrap this ban.

(This is only a rough and aproxamite telling of the story - apologies)

I have to admit the city would look better withtout faded poseters floating all over the street.

If only they were so against election posters...

I mean not putting election posters up at all.
