Some of the petty fools on this site ************************* and moan about FF and seething resentment, corruption and ineptitude; yet when someone tries to change FF from within, the same tools come out in force to bash the candidate for the party to which they are affiliated. How do you ever expect change??

    Idiots.

Eh... what does master Tubridy have to say about changing the party from within?

Got garret's election/introductory thingy in my door today. Hmmmmm
Welcome to Tubridy09 - the campaign to elect Garrett Tubridy

Big opening there since ol' Michael got booted out on a protest vote; but
mostly the angry residents do vote FF. He's 33- what of O Callaghan whose
gone to the bother of opening an office at Pembroke Bridge and whose
    pretty sis Miriam lives nearby?

I heard otherwise, something about a book sale, but that is neither here nor there.
His website is nice looking, but there is no structure to it. No natural progression down the page, just menu's and options every where, and if he is Ryan Tubridy's brother, did their mother feed them at all, when they were growing up.

it's hard to know what exactly that post is saying but I gather there is a new PBP candidate now also on the list for Pembroke-Rathmines

Oh just that he's quite blonde and many people don't like Enda. Though he is
not proven (like good yeast). Chris Andrews doesn't seem to cut it; but
FF appear to be making a new crew. I will be using my vote in any
election based on Dáil performances on health issues anyway...and not on
    blondieness.

Hi Cllr!- ye are doing grand work..

Health is paramount to me and we are to lose our hospitals under current amalgamation
policies. I discussed this with all reps who came to my door. And One FF rep thought it
funny - I don't . I am raising kids. I want to see health on local election literature
or shall get quite stroppy. I have nothing against Garret but I really think FF
should re-visit some of the current decisions at that Department. it's not 'whatever'
when hospitals are closing. Lab did not support co-location policies but some of us
actually connect policy platforms with the x we make on the papers.

    Hi Dot,

Not alone did we not support the co-location policies we actively opposed them. In my own case one of my very first campaigns was a Chairperson of the Save Bbaggot Street Hospital Campaign many years ago. We partially won that battle at a time when most such campaigns were lost. As a parent of two young children and as someone who has seen the afilure to invest I can assure you that iInvestement in health and education are core issues for me. It is important however that candidates should not make promises we cannot keep. Health is primarily a matter for National Government ( wrongly in my view by the way) so while if re-elected i can and will campaign on such issues and use my position to highlight these matters. Looking at some other Pembroke-Rathmines candidates they seem not to know very mcuh about the actual and very limited powers of Councillors

The People who are faced with the loss of St Lukes, the lukedoc services, Our Lady's
are well able to discuss the issues. To begin I got sent the St Luke's Preservation
brochure today which I am studying. thats an abysmal bit of utter shame.
it will become an election issue to many in the ward.
