I gotta get in on this waste business, it looks like a great scam.
You take a free service, then start charging for it (make sure you you pay your taxes as well), then you privatise it and the private company offers you

and your thinking to yourself...it used to be 100% savings......what is this stupid panda talking about...
Normal county councils had a sticker system, simple, slap a sticker on every time you put a bin out, you dont produce waste, you don't pay.
Not Dun Laoghaire tho, first there was a flat charge no matter what you produced.
Then there was a flat charge and a per weight charge where the per weight charge was ESTIMATED ahead of time, so they basically guess what your waste output will be, and you have to pay regardless of the reality..then you get credit off future waste you may or may not produce if they measure it correctly which they probably don't.
We haven't put a bin out in over a year yet we keep getting bills....strange that...
