Mary Lou to Run in Dublin Central

Apparently Mary Lou will be announced this week as the Sinn Féin candidate for Dublin Central.
Cllr Nicky Kehoe performed very well in this constituency in 2002 and 2004, and it is expected that Mary Lou's candidacy will give them the extra push they need to take a seat in the Taoiseach's own constituency.

Tony Gregory and the second Fianna Fáil seat may be at risk.

I presume that wasn't her FF constituency back in the day was it? Could make for a particularly bloody campaign if it was.

Is there any news on when a candidate will be selected for Dublin Central? Should we be expecting anything anytime soon?
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

Depends on 'soon' is defined really

Look, I don't know when a candidate is going to be selected for Dublin Central and I'm not getting drawn into it other than to say completing the candidate selection process in all target constituencies is a priority.

I can also say that no announcment, good, bad or indifferent is going to be made about Mary Lou contesting Dublin Central, Dublin Mid-West, Dublin South, Dublin West or Kildare North or South Down for that matter, this week.

What, she's gonna take both seats? Of all the crude comments we've had here about Mary Lou's weight, that just takes the biscuit.

Your command of English is obivously lacking, hbap. That sentence means that both of them could be at risk, not that both of them will be lost. There's a big difference.
