I had a phone call from Garret this afternoon stating that he was not the "tubs" posting on this site. I accept his word.

Garrett, in fairness, would know how to spell the name of the ward.

That indeed may be true but on the posters for one candidate the name of the road he lived on was spelled wrong and is either very very holy or cannot count as according to his web site he "must have been in (a particular church) thousands of time". Given his relative youth and that he has not lived in that area for most of his life he must have been a very very very hold gasun.

    Ah well

God you guys are sad. I said many posts ago that I was an ordinary voter. Then again that I was not a candidate. Why 2 candidates are ringing each other to confirm/deny etc is beyond me. You need to get out more. Amusing though.

To give my tuppence worth on theses questions for what its worth. Bearing in mind that i am comming from a FF position.

I am working with Jim and I know Andrews was out with Donnelly and I have heard he was out with Crosby and Ryan in the Inner city. I believe he is out with Tubs but apparently Tubs doesnt particulary want to be overly identified with FF but I am not sure about that. I have heard that second hand so it could well be speculation.Needless to say he wasnt out with jim but thats no surprise!!

We have seen Lucinda out a lot with Edie Wynne not so sure who else she is going out with.I have heard she is helping Noone in the Inner city a lot as well.

Apparently Quinn is not spreading the love that much as he has been rarely seen on the hustings and seems to be just doing the minimum. (Whats the bets labour activists are going to rush on denying this-so predictable)

Maybe we'll rush to deny this because it's not true.
The word 'politics' is derived from the word 'poly', meaning 'many', and the word 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites

In fairness to Ruairi he has been out with me and I know he has been out with Kevin, Mary Oisin and Maria also.

However we are all big boys and girls now and are quite capable of canvassing for ourselves also.

From speaking with my colleagues it is also true to say that we have all had great teams out for the last few weeks building on a lot of work over the last five years.

Less than two weeks to go now my own predictions are wavering. Other than a definite FG two with Paddy still topping - though I think we all agree on that one now, two definite Lab (I am not going to even go into who) Michael Donnelly still the leading FF er and then final seat anywhere except a second FF

Is there any posts that you do, that do not sound like a politburo broadcast.

but seriously: It seems that many peoplpe are not going to give a 1st to FF, do you think that they may vvote for them further down the line. or is their a complete antipathy.

Any talking up is to try and get him in 3rd for FG. Paddy and Edie have very solid support. The FF seat probably depends on the order they're eliminated. Donnelly would transfer immaculately but you couldnt be sure about the other two. The LAB 3-some is very interesting. Pity Cllr wont give an insight but cant blame him! You've got to think it'll be 2 FG, 2 LAB and then 2 of FG, LAB and FF and very tight.
