There is a bona fide Club of about 80 members - there used to be up to 100 - mainly mad eup of local men and women and people who lived in the area before property prices went through the roof. it was founded by a former Ringsend based Garda and as far as I know they meet regularly on Sunday mornings. The secured the lease from DCC some years years and a grant from the Dept to develop the premises. There has been some planning issues and that has delayed them. Thre is now an alternative idea being developed between the Club, DCC and some some others that hopefully will see a benefit for the area.

I have permission to use the advertising site on the location.

This may be true, I am merely relating what the Labour (more specifically, the Freehill) canvassers are saying on the doorsteps.

ok, this will be my last post on this matter as i dont want this to turn into a witch hunt...but...

    Keep pushing your case?

what case? myself and others have offerd evidence to show that what you say is just silly, when asked to explain yourself and "push your case" you put it down to your own insecuirty and offer no real evidence.

you have no case to push!

the fact you continue to moan and yet offer no real evidence for your case makes me wonder is it a problem with your judgement (which means i wont be voting for you) or is this some little manipulative shceme of yours (which means i wont be voting for you)?

anyway, either way good luck come june 5th.

In fairness, any incumbent Cllr/TD/MEP is going to be worried about their seat. This is particularly true when they find themselves with two running mates! Barring a spectacular result, most people would see Lab dropping a seat here - though I don't think it'll be Cllr, he'd be mad to be overconfident.

DerekOwens - what is your view from the campaign trail? Who do you think will take the seats?

Sorry " in pushing my case" I meant canvassing for my re-election which I hope you agree is a reasonable thing for me to do. After the last few days I remain optimistic.

Interesting, permission you say, and funded by DCC you say. Is there a conflict I hear.
