Bobby66 I suppose if I was a cynic I would post something like that. Clearly I am not going to wax lyrical about people i will have to contest against.
However I have often expressed my admiration for Ryano and Wendy when they were existing members of the Council. Both were very good Councillors and genuinely constructive people. I worked well with both of them. At this stage I consider Clare Wheeler to be a friend of mine.
In terms of the others I have often said that Michael Donnelly is a very good Councillor and good colleague. I am really only beginning to get to know Paddy and Edi as Council colleagues and I hope get on well with them. I do not know JOC very well but have heard mostly good things about him. I do not know the Green candidates at all. And
Of course my two Labour Colleagues are just wonderful.
I loook forward with hope to working with five other Councillors representing the new Pembroke Rathmines after next June.

Much and all as I respect Cllr, I don't buy the labour collegiality and solidarity act. There was precious little of it on view in LE 2004 when Frehill and Quinn Jnr were at daggers drawn in Rathmines. To be fair the heat generated between the two delivered a second seat, but it did leave scars and old scores to settle. There is no love lost between the two camps - then or now.
Cllr needs to make sure that both of his colleagues continue to direct their ire at each other and keep himself well out of that battle - this will allow him to concentrate on getting out there and leave him the most attractive prospect for both Frehill and Quinn's number two votes.
Have recently moved to the area. Living in the Rathmines end of Rathgar, really around the corner from Rathmines village, near the Garda station and Esso station. I presume I am in DSE? Could a local confirm my constituency location or do the boundaries get complicated around this area?

Thats most likely DSE but it's also extremely near DSC. I'll have to check.Originally Posted by Stíofán

I would think the nearest Dail boundary to you is the one with Dublin South - that runs along the Dodder River - the nearest point of that to you would be at dartry / Milltown
