Paddy & Edie are a solid pair, a little bit long at it but committed.

Is there any truth that FG might run a 3rd candidate?

Convention is coming up. There is at least one, possibly two other candidates interested for now. A decision hasn't been made on how many candidates to run, as far as I know.

I would be surprised by that, I haven't heard anyone within the party suggest it or consider it.

Oh I have myk I have - though in fairness I have heard it siad much more about the SEIC.

Anyway on the gossip side does anyone know anything about Dave Robbins and while I am at it I want to say hard luck to Clare Wheeler. She is one of the most decent and honourable person I have ever met in politics.

Good Public meeting in Beech Hill in Donnybrook last night aboutr forming a new Residents Association. Chris Andrews was there as well as myself - thats Dermot Lacey for any new comers,- Michael Donnelly and Garret Tubridy. The City Council offered to organize a proper ballot of residents to form a Committee which is the best way to do these things. prior to that I had been out with a team in the central Donnyrook area - good response. we have a team going out tonight as well.

Well I was at the Green meeting (even though I am not, nor will I ever be, a party member -don't ask) and he seemed to have recieved the nomination on an allotments crusade, ahead of Wheeler's ridiculous proposal that if she wins a seat she will campaign for a congestion charge (!)

He's an entertaining enough journalist who writes for the Independent. He has a column in the Saturday Review next to the gossip section.

I was the guy standing by the taps and cups wearing a jacket and a windshielder. A friend told me to come along while he voted, which I didn't think would be a problem (I think he must be the only Green in history who supports McCain). I thought Ristik was very good while Wheeler has had better days.

Don't worry -obviously I didn't vote for someone!

Haha, wasn't going to have you shot (just composted). More importantly, what the hell is your friend doing Supporting McCain?? Such people shouldn't have a vote (at Green Party selection conventions anyway). I thought Ristic was good too, but no longer have a vote in Pembroke Rathmines.
