Well I wont vote for red Ruairi. That artists exemption claim is the pits! He wrote a one off book about himself in politics - cant have sold that many copies and can't have generated that many tax problems.

of course he was 'entitled' to claim it. Politicians don't know the difference between entitlement and morality/ethics.

The artists exemption was always a joke - meant to help full-time artists in the broadest sense but most artists don't earn enough to pay tax. But the Revenue is allowing it for high earning people who write one off books.

That has nothing to do with the fact that he is not from your ward..... It wouldn't help you next time if O Quinn was given a run and missed out, leaving him with a very high profile for the next locals or is it simply that you like Kevin better over the other possible candidates?!

Sometimes I really worry about people on these sort of sites and politics in general.

Can nothing be taken at face value?

    1) I think R Quinn is and has been a great TD for Ireland and DSE.
    2) I think Kevin is and has been a great Councillor.
    3) I do not see a lot of logic in a candidate strategy of Quinn and Quinn
    4) I do not wish to be a Dail candidate
    5) I do hope that if we are both candidates at the next Local Elections that both myself and Oisin will be successful in holding those seats.

Hope that is clear and that you might sometimes accept that some times things are what they seem to be.

Such as, perhaps, your 3 months of bleatings about how Quinn and Freehill were going to top the poll destroying all competition, while you were involved in a life-or-death battle to have an iota of a chance to somehow miraculously hold on to your seat by a wafer-thin single digit margin?

He is steadfastly refusing to give up his Ministerial pension as well.

I simply said that it would be a fight and it was. A fight we happily won nonetheless.
