I think I might have been at the next door. I heard Criona talking to someone on the doorstep about Dublin Bus while waiting, unsuccessfully, for someone to come to the next door. The three strong, including candidate, FF team was chased from at least three doors that we saw and one voter who answered to me later on still had the FF canvass card crumpled in her fist from the row when she opened to me later on.

I think by the time they got to the end of the cottages they were just dropping the leaflets as they were moving off doors very fast. We got a pretty good response, nothing to indicate a tidal wave of Shinner support, but better than we'd have got there in '07 or in '04.

That said, I've heard more reports of Ardagh canvassing than any other candidate and they're throwing money round the place so I wouldn't rule her out of sneaking the fourth. Labour (Moynihan Faction) canavssing in Bulfin today. Not sure why you'd canvass on Easter Saturday, would have thought a huge amount of not-ins, but one admires the enthusiasm.

I tried to give the Green Hogan a roasting about his posters being all over the place around the South Circular when he called to the door earlier but he is running a meeting apparently. When do we have the general posters going up to look forward to?

FG just came knocking on my door. They were not as preachy as I thought they would be, still wont vote for them though, but I wont rule out a lower preference.

In fairness John is certainly a decent skin and has a lot of energy FOR HIS AGE but it does not say much for Labour in SWIC that all they could come up with was the invisible woman as an alternative to John>

She isn't his replacement, she is his running mate. We're aiming for two seats in the SWIC.

Well maybe you should tell her that as her last leaflet described her as THE labour candidate for SWIC.
