Dublin City Council meeting - Live on the Web

If anybody wants to see how your councillors conduct their business - the current City Council meeting is being streamed live on the web.

They are discussing a replacement for Councillor Breen at the moment.

Interesting that some Councillors are claiming that there will be not enough money supplied by central government next year for the Council to take up its Affordable Housing scheme units.

That seems to have put the cat among the pigeons somewhat!

Major problems with synchronisation. Otherwise Dermot Lacey has developed a high-pitched female voice that sounds amazingly like Deirdre Heney. I can also hear grunting like pigs on the live feed.

A motion is before Galway City Council as we speak to introduce such a system in that chamber. It's being proposed by Cllr O'Brolchain and hopefully will get passed.
The thought of GBFM playing Connelly's 'pearls of wisdom' may be enough to shut him up a bit.
