    Re: Dublin South West 2007 - 2012

That's better, drjim. Now, to your questions:

and rabitte?......who will labour run in 2012?.........who will they 'bleed' in 09?..............
The impression I get is that Rabbitte WILL run in 2012 - but if he doesn't, I can't see them "bleeding" anyone new in 2009 - his replacement will come from among the ranks of Maloney, Corr and Jones - maybe two of them on the ticket.

Have Ff started to 'bleed' someone to replace oconnor?
Well you're in FF, you tell us.....

where will Crowe run in 09?
    Will he run at all?

    What does Hayes do?
    About what?

    will karen warren run again?
Don't see any reason why she wouldn't.

    what about mick Murphy?
Can't help thinking that his vote will drop, given that people will realise that voting for an anti-bin charges candidate doesn't actually get bin charges abolished. It was that issue that got him elected in 2004 (despite what Larkinite may believe about the beginnnings of the mass uprising by the proletariat against the massed ranks of evil capitalists), so I think he'll lose votes this time - but still get in.

    what oh what?..........
    What?
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

This is just my own opinion as I am not on the officer board of DSW SF anymore, but if Crowe was to run, and I have no idea what his intentions are at present, I would like to see him go in Terenure-Rathfanham rather than either two of the Tallaght wards, we lost a crucial amount of votes down in that area and if he could take a seat down there (he is originally from that area and would be by far the most high profile candidate in the ward) he could put himself in contention for 2012.
I think that Councillor Daly and King are strong enough to build the vote back up in the two Tallaght wards. Personally I would like to see the party run only one person in each ward and simply expend all of their energies trying to bring the vote back to the 2002/2004 level of about 7,500 votes in the area. But bare in mind this is just my thoughts, I have no idea what the parties thinking is on the subject.

    hi all...any craic......

rumours around the house that the frenzy to find decent candidates for 2009 is because they really want to give our bert a great sendoff in sept 09................

So that explains the endless hunting going on for bods especially for tallaght central........Poor joe...he must feel the heat on.....and Aine....Will it work out? or fall apart? ...what then about rod?....then of course our foreign friend and dont forget the trio of oconnor sons............

Anyone else i've forgotten or missed whilst overhearing the gossip?

I doubt that Pat Rabbite will run again in dsw, in 5 years he will be 63 or 64, but if he doesn't run labour could lose the seat to sf very easily.
