Why that's nearly as unlikely as Geraghd 4 the Mansion House!

Turely's from ailesbury road, which means that he probably has had no contact with real people living in pembroke before this election.

In fairness to Turley, and I've met him at various times and know his brother, he's being unfairly maligned by that last comment.

I can't vote for him but would have him high in the preferences if I could. I see that he's also after getting some respect from other people in other parties too for his integrity etc., etc.

I say dump on the man for his issues not because of where he was raised.

It's no more unfair than atacking someone because they weren't from the area.

Ok, Pembroke people, put your handbags away. Michael Turley's a lovely lad and Lucinda's a good looking girl (in a scary dominatrix kind of way). Everyone happy?

Back to Rathmines, where FG candidate Brian Gillen (or his people) were out and about last night delivering his glossy brochure. Only the most fleeting of references in it to his running mate Edie Wynne and no call for people to vote for her. How are things in the FG camp? Living to regret the two candidate strategy?

And as for the brochure itself. twelve photographs of Brian in a small document! Brian with constituent at clinic, Brian speaking to mother with children, Brian talking to young woman, Brian talking to young man, Brian pointing at map, Brian bending down to examine clamped car (his own?), Brian looking in baffled manner at map of Rathmines, Brian looking ridiculous in safety jacket and hat beside Luas, Brian looking serious in front of Rathmines Town Hall (must have liked that last one as used it twice). Etc, etc, etc. A lot of pointing and looking serious.

Complete photo overkill and desperation to appeal to every demographic and interest. Trying much, much too hard.

How is the campaign going, anyone? Result still shaping up as Donnelly, Freehill, Meade and Williams?

That last prediction for rathmines look pretty possible to me. Only exception is that Quinn could be closer to Williams than that and much will depend on where FG transfers go. This could tilt to Quinn.

and by the way not a FF supporter but would prefer someone with ideas and committment like Turley to the alternative

cllr and Turbo seem to be writing off FG's chances rather quickly. With Wynne not registering at all, I would put Gillen and Williams about 50:50 to claim the last seat. I think Labour's overall share of the vote will be up, but I don't expect Quinn to figure in the final shake-up.

I think Fitzgerald's non-selection for Europe is a bad result for FG in Rathmines. Anyone care to bet on whether Wynne will survive to appear on the ballot paper in June?

Prediction for Pembroke: FF, FG, Lab - probably

Prediction for life you'll go blind before any of you sad sad people see reason. There is one candidate going places in the ward very fast and that's Lucinda. Incidentally whoever is sticking up photos on-line should be aware that they are intellectual property and the website can be requisitioned to turn over the records of whoever is doing this. Needless to say whoever the spineless guttersnipe is they won't come forward on their own. Off with your head mein freund...

As I have said before if a conservative has to win a seat in Pembroke I hope it is Fine Gael and if it is Fine Gael Paddy Mc Cartan will do the business, with his local presence over a longer period, the active backing of Joe Doyle and the split womens vote Mc Cartan will shade Lucinda. Nothing personal just an honest analysis. The other two seats look to be definitely heading Andrews and Lacey in that order
