First of all, you are assuming that Niamh Breathnach will run again.

The first FF seat for Barry A is secure. I expect Nessa Childers to hang on due to FF transfers...

    Marie Baker is safe.

I think the last seat is between FF, Labour and the PD's

    Blackrock Local elections predictions

Niamh won't run again which gives Labour a problem. A lot of her vote is a personal vote. But there should be enough of a soft left vote to elect a Labour or Green candidate.
Rumour has it that Barry Andrews sister is interested. That would be a very strong FF ticket and would put them in the hunt for two seats.
FG will take one but need a strong second candidate with Marie Baker to stand a chance of taking a second seat.
Victor Boyhan has a chance of taking back his seat if the PDs still exist at that time.

The three incumbents running again will be safe anyway.

In the absence of Niamh B, it's going to be a scrap for the last seat and, in this ward, so much will depend on the quality of the candidate.

Does anyone have the lowdown on potential Labour replacements, or indeed Ms. Andrews?

There are some good strong candidates being linked with the Blackrock Ward.

Go one Derek, tell us who? Your'e info usually has a shred of truth! It will be interesting to see in this, and other wards in DL, whether there will be a mid term backlash against the goverenment too. One has to take this into account. ( Preferebly in a dispassionate way rather then the fanatical PPBroadcasts favoured by some posters)

Dont see any change here. 2 X Gov. 2 X Opp

With O'Connor in FG, Boyhan will surely run in the 6 seat DL ward, leaving Childers, Conway and Baker re-elected alongside a Labour nominee.

Interesting. How much of a chance would you give Victor Boyhan and a possible PD sweeper candidate of taking MMOC's seat back for the PD's

It would make sense for Victor Boyhan to move to Dun Laoghaire ward where it would be easier to get elected - perhaps Barry S. might comment on whether that was likely?

And who do you think will top the poll - Niamh Bhreathnach or Marie Baker?
