Dubs worthy winners but Laois have to be a little bit embarassed about their perfromance. After the Dubs 3rd goal they through in the towel and there were 30 minutes left.

They moved forward in hope more than anticipation. Very disappoitning that a team would reach a final and appear to have absolutley no game plan or contingency plan when the first plan (if there at all) disappeared!!

Colm Parkinson and Munnelly the only ones of note.

Mark Vaughan is an absolute knacker!! Two fingers very agressively in the face of Laois defender after scoring goal. Pity as he has a lot of talent. But a born knacker. Whelan more or less behaved today but another knacker.

Refs need to stand up to the Dubs and not bottle to central council pressure to give the dubs an easy ride.
Blueshirt anti-Irish bigots must be outed form Irish society north and south!!

Laois dragged, pulled, held, punched etc... yet STILL the Dubs are the ones that take the flak!

Alan Brogan was getting pushed and kicked and slapped off the ball at the end of the game in front of the Canal, yet NOBODY is slating Laois for the way he was treated. Instead Brogan's getting slated for keeping his head and pointing to the scoreboard. When a cheer went up from the Canal he gstured at them to cheer more.

What exactly did he do wrong? In the face of extreme violent provocation he managed to keep the head and didn't resort to violence, if he hit back youse would all be complaining as well.

Brogan should have been on the line for slapping the Laois player around the head..

Tramps .. the lot of them

Football is crap anyway... it's best player in a decade retired during the week.. and some people down here consider him a "failed hurler"

(Not me mind, great great footballer)
Is he a relative of yours RoC?
No, but I'd be damn proud if he was. Brought a tear to my eye when we won the Tommy Murphy cup, for him alone. Anyone want to see a real footballing giant in action, watch the first half of the 2002 Munster final against Cork, where he destroyed their backline, without turning to even look at the posts before kicking. I was in Thurles that day and it was an awesome display

I was also there that day. Ye left it behind ye. We were dreadful, though the display against Galway in the accompagning hurling match was worse.
Congrats on ye're win over us yesterday BTW, but ye'll never beat kilkenny!

Ah typical. Dublin play well, win the game and the Leinster Championship and the begrudgery begins. Not a Championship performance yet but my faith in the forwards improved today. There were a few verbals but no one team were more guilty. Laois gave as good as they got.

The incident at the end was provoked by Laois players attempting - foolishly - to settle accounts at the end of a game in which they were taken apart. Brogan was merely pointing out to them the fact that the scoreboard showed that Dublin had won. There was lots of off the ball stuff yesterday instigated by Laois under the mistaken impression that they could beat Dublin by (a) softening them up or (b) provoking key players into lashing out and getting sent off. Dublin dealt with it by giving it back in spades and by totally outplaying them. Hopefully this will be the last of this nasty mean spirited bunch of whingers. Back to the good old days of Dublin/Meath domination

Indeed it was, as were a number of other incidents during the game like the few lungers delivered to Shane Ryan.

As was pointed out on the Sunday game last night, there were several times when Dublin players get hit and just got up and on with it.

The hype around Dublin is a product of the media, you never hear it from Dublin players.

When you slow it all down it's almost laughable. There were at least five players involved in that incident and it was not only in front of the two umpires but also clearly in view of a linesman but it also saw the Laois keeper running well out of his area to attack players.

Ref speaks to an umpire......... Dublin player gets booked.

    No surprise.

I thought Dublin where at times excellent yesterday, they tore Laois apart in a 20 minute period and that was that, it’s hard to keep it going when the other team is well beaten. And I certainly do not feel the Dubs can be blamed for the handbags at the end, surely the Laois players should be well used to loosing to Dublin at this stage and shouldn’t get so wound up by it. I think the Dubs have by far the best 15 players in the championship but its getting them playing as a team for 70 minutes that is the problem, if they manage to do that then there is no team in the country they couldn’t beat, c’mon the Dubs!!!
As for ROC’s comments, not worthy of a response!!
