Dublin refuse collection : Whats going on?

What in the name of feck is suddenly going on. Seems there was a right huha at the DCC meeting on monday. Very few councillors seemed to aware of the new systems in place.
I went to buy my usual bin stickers on monday night to find that in my area we were now being sold Allen Waste. are 3 Euro each (an increase from dcc) and you now text them to register your address and say you have bins to collect.
Also have a new sneaky 15kg limit. Also includes a free recycling bag on a thursday. But when i rang they said that greyhound would be collecting as usual for free on thursday. Then i see greyhound collecting today..

    clear as mud.. thanks..
god knows what my elderly neighbours think of it all...

Commercial refuse? Thought all of DCC was on wheelie bin schemes for residential waste.

In Stoneybatter they don`t do wheelie bins. They do bags for general waste. €3 per bag.

Residents in DCC have 30 days from January 16th to pay their annual standing charge in full or else Greyhound will cease their waste collection service. There are no facilities for persons to pay this standing charge on a quarterly basis.
